well,evidently I am a moron and somehow deleted my -member_test.cgi in the members directory in my UBB6 setup that has been working since like 2003. the forum can be accessed, but I don't want to do a full reinstall (1. I don't have the files, and 2. I don't know how(i am not the original webmaster)). So basically my question is how do i recover the control panel without destroying the board and the 4000 active members accounts and pm's?

Make a blank file with that name and set the right permissions on it. The test is a file permissions test, nothing more.

that worked perfectly; I also did a rebuild and reindex and it brought back all the recent registrations that I was hoping didn't get lost. So thanks again I really appeciate your help.
