This may fall in the dumb question category - but when uploading images to a gallery forum, the file manager states that the size limit is only 20 Bytes. Nothing I change in the CP seems to effect this and mySql server has a much larger limit (5mb as best I can tell).

Any and all help is welcome!

images are not loaded into your sql.

check your gallery settings.

i'm thinking you have 20 for 2mb

1048576 = 1mb

This is where I was confused. There is not an option in the Gallery settings for setting file size limits. There is an option for inline uploaded images at Control Panel » Display Options » General » Topic display options, but changing this value does not seem to have any impact on the message for size limitation or the function of uploading a image.

You're wanting to look at the indvidual forum permssions. In there you should see a setting called "Maximum size of file attachments"

Thanks Rick, that fixed the file size issue. I'm now getting this error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 20971520 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2800 bytes) in /asplist/libs/image.inc.php on line 78

How large of an image are you trying to upload? At this point you're reaching the memory limit imposed by the memory_limit setting in php.ini. The only way to adjust this one would be to edit the php.ini file and up that setting.
