New members on my forum don't get access to private forums and are not displayed in the config panel, but they are listed in the user list. Today I got a complaint from member 517, who indeed is shown in the user list, while the member list in the config panel only shows members up to 507. I suspect this has something to do with a wrong setting in config.inc.php

Where do I start looking?

First thing is make sure they are being added to the proper default group. Check your registration settings for that.

Yes, they are. What baffles me is that not all members are displayed under Member Management, while they are displayed in the User List.

Can you open up a support ticket with admin login info so I can take a closer look?

when member management fails, it invariably is that the user doesn't belong to ANY group..

there is a nested query in these forums that searches for users with NO GROUP assigned and assigns them to at least ONE group (of your choosing)..

i think it's been pasted a coupla times.. Yarp did it once and i know i did a nested version at some point..

when you find that thread, just paste the query in your cpanel, db tools, sql query and execute it...

i think that is your problem, even though your config NOW has a default group for new users..
