UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums UBB.threads 7 Installation and Upgrade Support Have permissions set but install says "Failed" on sessions and cache

I have the permissions set on the cache and sessions directories but the install.php page shows these 2 fail. I have chmod 0777 on both. I used an FTP client to check the properties/info on the directories and it shows 777 on both. All others (including tmp) show passed.

I've emptied the cache on the browser to make sure that wasn't the problem. Tried another browser. I've sudo chmod (just to make sure) and no difference.

If I do ls -less, it shows:
drwxrwxrwx for both sessions and cache.

Any ideas? Running this on OS X (10.5.6). Using PHP 5.2.6.

Look for a index.html file in the folders and CHMOD them to 666 and see if this helps you.
