This is very bad! I was making a reply to a PM when I clicked the "Forum List" link, I got an error that said:
"...libs/functions_forums.inc.php mythreads.ubbt_forums doesn't exist."
So I logged into cPanel and sure enough, when I wend into my threads database using PhPMyAdmin, my database was there, but the ubbt_forums table (which holds all the forums) had vanished!
HELP! Does anyone have any idea what might cause this to happen? I think I can recover because I do nightly backups of my entire server on a separate Hard Drive, but what on earth would cause something like this?

If "vanished" you should contact your webhost; if in need of repair, simply repair..

No, it vanished. Poof! I lease my own server and have discovered that I was hacked (by an Islamic state). They left their calling card. I pay a server management company to monitor my server 24/7 in case I need them to reboot or something while I'm at work. They said the hackers apparently got in through in insecure script. What script that might be I have no idea.

I'd really have someone take a closer look especially if that's all the information they are giving. I recently helped a site work through a hacking debacle where the host said it was UBB.threads when it turned out the domain control panel itself was hacked and they were using that to do their dirty work.
So if the table is just restored there's a good chance they'll just end up doing it again.

Rick, they didn't say it was UBB.threads, they said is was "likely" through an insecure php script. I have other stuff running besides threads. The question for you is, can I run phpsuexec without breaking threads?
