Is there a way to hide the member titles on the board. I tried just clearing out all in criteria from the CP, but it still gives current users the titles.

I have never tried to undo permissions for custom titles.
But I can assume that if in fact you have all the permissions set to 0. That you may need to run a sql query to clear out the field, and or clear cache and or run the content re builder.

That makes sense. I'll look in the DB and try to clear.

Just to follow up - that worked. If anyone is needed to do it again the table you are looking for is ubbt_USER_PROFILE.

Yep, It is probably just something Rick never anticipated. That someone would enable it then turn it off at a later point in time.
In reality if you think about it this would be a rare case unless it was enabled in error. Then tried to disable it.

But I guess it would be nice to actually be able to turn off custom titles.
Just like in the member titles area.
Member Titles
If a user has both a Custom and Post title, only show Custom Title:
Add
If a user has both a Custom and Post title, only show Post Title:
That way if you change it. And all your members beat you up you can just turn it back on again.
Right now for you all the custom titles are gone forever.
