I've been a big fan of UBB since the beginning. Question, is there any plans to bridge UBB with elgg (http://www.elgg.org/?)

That's the first I've even heard of elgg. No immediate plans for it at this time. We will be working on an API for UBB however, so creating bridges and such should be easier.

You might consider contacting one of the developers here (sirdude, blaaskaak, etc). Since there is a phpbb bridge it should be possible to write one for ubb.threads.

Thanks for the info. Elgg has been around for some time, but is up-in-coming as a major open source social platform.
