Hello  I'm a newbie here, and this is my first posting. so if i've done some mistakes pls pardon me  I actually got some problems with my friend's website. its some technical problems. but when my friend tried to consult his web designer, that guy suddenly disappeared and cannot be called, for 2 weeks. so I'm posting here hoping that i can find some help from u guys please visit www.oblworld.com, and you'll see the technical issue, it says... "145 Table './oblworld/pay2_products_description' is marked as crashed and should be repaired" Do you know what cause this, and how to repair the problem? maybe i got to do something in the admin for example? thanks in advance!

This has happened to me, but I couldn't fix it as I'm on a shared server and my PHPMyAdmin didn't allow it. However, I contacted my host and it was fixed in minutes. I suggest you do the same.

Well, as I said in my first post, the web designer that managed my friend's website has suddenly disappeared and cannot be contacted for 2 weeks. that web designer has all the info about the hosting company, which my friend do not know. But because we cannot contact him anymore, we don't know who host my friend's website.
Hmm, is there a way to know who hosted my friend's website?

well that certainly isn't ubbthreads being involved there.. the actual domain itself is registered at TUCOWS INC. that is probably the registrar that the hosting company used.. looks like the hosting company 'might' be: Emerge Systems.. you can see that by this link Linky Poo™Clickin that link takes you to another site Linky Dinky -- so if your friend can somehow prove the domain and all belongs to him, then there might be a chance.. as for your consultant.. bad on him..

Moving this down to General Chat as it's not really a threads issue...
as for the issue at hand, write him a cease and desist order regarding all information having to deal with the operations of said site...

Lesson learned. When dealing with web designers.
Require all pertinent information for website access.
