So I recently updated the Flash Player in one of my PC's at home and discovered that anything requiring flash in web pages no longer works! I also accidentally pulled the same stunt with my laptop at work. blush

I am running Window XP home and professional respectfully. I tried using the un-installer and reinstalling an older version of IE to no avail. It also neutered it in Firefox on my XP pro machine but that has been restored with the reinstall but IE still no workie!!! This was IE-7 but I also tried un-installing that and returning to IE-6 on my home PC - still no workie!!! mad

Anybody run into this?

I had a similar problem. Where using Quickbooks, did not support the current version of flash player.
I had to take a couple of extra steps to completely delete it out of IE.
I believe I found the tech note at Intuits support page for quickbooks.
It was a while ago so I don't know if I can find it again.

I don't have any issues with running the latest flash. I'd fix it myself and stay on the updated version. There is Malware out there that takes advantage of the older code to infect your box.

For the moment, restoring my machine to a few days earlier worked. As for the malware issue, I can live with that threat as this is the free-for-all PC in my kitchen with nothing important on it. If my kids can't get onto the Webkinz web site or the Nick Jr web site my ass is in hot water!!! shocked (3-year old girls can get just as nasty as the 33-year old ones) wink
