From one of our members ...
"I've tried a few things and nothing works. I cannot post using Firefox anymore"
I asked what OS he had, suggested checking virus protection and firewalls, etc. His reply...
Thanks. I am using Windows XP on both computers. I was told that maybe I didn't have the most recent version of Firefox so I updated to Firefox 3. Now I've read that Firefox 3 might be a problem. I doubt it, though, because it was not working with the slightly older version either. There are no firewalls in Firefox that can be disabled (well, none that I would want to, for sure) and I have deleted cookies more than once. Nothing works so far. I can log in and do everything except post. Everything worked great with the old forum software so I really tend to doubt the isuue is all on my end. I didn't change anything, but the forum did. That's when the problem started. So...
I also checked to be sure he had permission to post in the forums he uses (he does).
Any ideas, or is this a known issue?
Thanks.

What happens when he tries to post? Does the same thing happen for the quick reply box and the full reply box?

Well I use Fire Fox and have had very few issues. I just registered on your site to test as Ruben Rocha. But your registrations are moderated so I guess I will have to wait.

I finally was approved. I posted in the General Discussions » New Feature Requests. Topic is: testing a post using firefox browser. No problems. What you may try is turn off. Or I should say turn on Disable HTTP Referer Check? Under Control Panel » Primary Settings/Advanced Options Then have the member try to post. If successful that will at least tell you he has a security setting somewhere that blocks him. It could be a firewall setting or internet security setting. For me I have HTTP Referer Check disabled because most of my members do not have control over security settings.
Anyway you can have your member post a reply to test or delete my post and registration.

Norton 360 gives tons of problems with the UBB Message Board system. It always appears it is the site but in turn it is Norton deciding what their users should be looking at, interacting with, and doing online rather then asking the user it self.
If they have Norton 360 tell them to adjust it to turn it off.

That is why I turned off referrer check because all my users work for cities and counties and they have no control over security settings.

Thanks everyone.
What are the possible repercussions of my Disabling HTTP Referer Check?
