I have an erroneous topic entry (topic 1024 in my forums gallery section) that I cannot delete using the built in moderation tools (keeps giving the message 'no topic selected' when I try to delete it even though it is actually selected).

I have run the various database cleanup tools in the control panel but they do not seem to correct this either.

Can I edit the mySQL database manually to remove this entry, and if so what data table would it be under?

ubbt_TOPICS will have the topic but you will also need to delete the post under ubbt_POSTS in the database.

I would back them up before you edit them and delete anything.

Try deleting it from the manage topic options. When inline moderation does not work, the manage topic option most of the time does work.

Hello Yarp. Tried that already. When I try to view the topic I get an error message (its like a fragment was left in the database of an old partially deleted topic - the topic title is there but no actual topic).

So I think the only option is delve into the database and manually edit.
