Hi all
I upgraded my live forums to 7.5.2 - all verified fine and dandy.
I have then copied my entire site across to a new server/host/domain (part of a wider move to new hosting). Unpacked the files as per Gizmo's excellent help, and imported the DB files. Again all has gone well. Final steps were to edit the included/config.inc.php file to set the paths and URL's to the new values.
Went to log in as the admin user but the login page just cycles back to empty login prompts. There is nothing shown in the logs, and no errors given on screen??
As a last attempt i edited the cookie prefix to a new unique value but i still am unable to log in.
Dont suppose anyone has any clues??
Thanks

Crisis over (for now at least ) I shut down all my browser windows (of which there were many) and then purged my cache. Restarted the browser and was able to log in without issue I must learn to check all possibilities first before posting here in future...

When you say no errors. Does it at least say "Username/Password not found. " You might need to double check your paths again in config.inc.php. Especially the top few lines where your db info is such as Database server name Database Name Database User name Database Password Table prefix

My suggestion would have been to ensure the session folder was purged and chmodded 777 so it could be written to ... Glad you got up and running though
