UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums UBB.threads Version 7/8 Support Can not connect to Database

I keep getting this message.

Here we are checking your database connectivity and permissions. If any of these checks fail you will need to correct the errors in order to proceed.
Connecting to server FAILED
Connecting to database FAILED

Hello,

Are you trying to set a new site up or something else?

Either way, it looks like you haven't input the correct info to connect to the server/database.

I assume you are installing ubbthreads v7.5.3

The error is just what it says.
The script can't access the MySql server nor the database.
This can be due to the server is down or the Server name, Database name, username and or password is incorrect.
Try accessing your DB directly say with PHPadmin and see if you can connect. And double checkall the MYSQL DB stuff:

This is what you need to verify:

Database Server Name:
Database Name:
Database Username:
Database Password:
If anyone of them is incorrect you will not be able to connect to the database with the install script.

I fixed the problem. Thanks all
