Guys: I cannot get a handle on what is causing spikes.

I made backups of all 7.1 tables and files before running the update to 7.53. If I simply reload all the 7.1 files, will the current table structure work? I'll lose a week's worth of posts otherwise. I seem to be unable to figure out what's going on, and I'm online with UBB, server managers, and hosting companies, and nothing seems t be working to ameliorate this stuff.

End result is a current server load of 77.42 and a frozen mysql database. FRICK!

I need out of 7.53 until I can figure out what's wrong. Can I simply reload the files, are am I in too deep with the database structure?

Is there a fee-based service here I can access. I need help STAT!

If you need a resolution then your best course of action is to start with opening a support ticket with ubb.
You really can't downgrade unless you are absolutely sure that no changes occurred in the tables and or the config file at a minimum.

The only way you can downgrade is if you were to actually reload the 7.1 database backup along with the 7.1 scripts. 7.1 won't work with the 7.5 database structure.

We can go the support ticket route, since there definitely is some type of issue going on.

You can open a ticket HERE
This is for basic support.
Rick will probably let you know if you need advanced support. But you will need to provide him at the least admin access to the control panel . Then possibbly ftp access. And more if needed
