I'm sorry if this question is in th wrong place.

When we visit our forum webpage, we get the error below.
Does anyone have an idea why this is happening?

MySQL is down... you might contact your webhost to see if they can restart it. Are you running any other scripts and do they work?

Thank you so much for your suggestion. Everything is working again. Maybe there was some maintenance on our server.

Could be, my host will inform me of scheduled maint. and they do it usually on the weekend.
Of course it could have been a unscheduled issue which is not planned.
Another good reason to keep current backups.
