Whenever I make a post and make it a "Global Announcment" Members indicate that they are not able to reply to the post. The "reply" button is visible but when they click on it they get the message "you cannot reply to global mesages.". Is there a setting in the CP to allow groups to reply to GM's?
Thanks

This is a item to address for future releases. People can't reply to global topics so for now you would need to reference another standard topic to reply to.

I wish this was not the case but it is. So the best thing to do for now is add a global announcement with a link to a regular topic for replies. I hope this makes it in v8.

Yeh, I've really disliked that we can't respond to announcements; we should have the option to lock it (not allow replies) or allow people to post...
