Been on 7.4.1 for a long time... it works with no real problems. I've notice an editing issue with IE 8 but I don't know if that needs to be fixed by UBB or IE.
So, my question now is should I upgrade in order to get all of the bug fixes that have been released since 7.4.1 or can I wait for 8?

v8 isn't even in beta testing yet, so it'll be a ways off...

v8 definitely has a long way to go still since we're still plugging away at the control panel. We did a couple of adjustments concerning IE8 in 7.5 so if it's troubling to your users you might want to upgrade.

I'm kinda in the same boat. We're at 7.4.1 and the IE8 thing is bugging a couple of poor souls, but that's the only compelling reason we've got to upgrade.
Basically, I've decided that if I get bored at some point during the night (USA time) and have 20 minutes to kill, I'll upgrade. Otherwise, 7.4.1 is fine for now. I've upgraded my test box at least 5 times now, so I'm pretty comfy with the 7.5.x upgrade.
I thought I'd have time during a 2 week trip abroad in August, but I was dealing with sooo many issues (I've moved apache twice and mysql 3 times since June) that 7.5.3 sort of fell by the wayside on that trip. We'll see if it happens on next week's trip.

I did the upgrade today. Only took about an hour (including making the backups). Only glitch was that I needed to modify the permissions on the new Groups folder. Had to guess what user to modify and how much to change, but I got it right on the first try.
I'm looking but can't find ANY changes that an end-user would be interested in. Has the past 11 months only delivered bug fixes?!?!?
Is the "Top Posters" island available in this package?

7.5 wasn't a huge release, since we ended up deciding to hold off on anything major and start on version 8. The only real user end features was the profile changes (buddies and comments).
The Top Posters and Top Posters in the past 30 days are both available in the Portal Layout section of the control panel.

I can't wait to be able to add a single posting across multiple dates in the calendar.
