We found an error in our Global Moderator Forum Permissions {the edit post time limit was one minute}, so we went in to the Group Management -> Global Mod -> Forum Permissions to edit it.
First of all, it took an unusually long time to load the permissions page. Hung up, slowed the browser, etc..
Second of all, once the edits were made, we hit "update this group's permissions."
It loaded the page titled "/forums/admin/dogroup_forumperms.php" to a blank white page, claiming to be "done" loading in Firefox.
We thought it might just be that group, but it's not. Every single group we try to edit causes the same problem.
However, "/forums/admin/dogroup_siteperms.php" and "/forums/admin/dogroup_cpperms.php" work just fine.
No idea how to troubleshoot this. Tried clearing the cache, to no avail.
-----------
Custom Titles.
We want the only group to be able to edit members' custom titles to be the administrators. So far, so good. However, we're having an issue with length. We need to be able to increase the limit on custom titles for ALL member groups without giving permission to EDIT those titles to anyone but the administrators.
So far, no luck.
Suggestions?
EDIT:
Forgot to mention the lack of being able to find where the character limit is/how to set it, and that the '1' in permissions isn't actually limiting it to one character {as far as editing from within the CP}, so it seems to be broken anyhow.

Try checking your error logs, see if the term "mod_security" shows up.
The only time that length is taken into account is when it's explicitly specified.

No error logs anywhere...
And still no idea why it's loading the "/forums/admin/dogroup_forumperms.php" as a blank.

Actually, if mod_security is enabled on the server, and a reserved variable is contained in that file, mod security would serve the file as a blank file...
If you're saying that the content of the file on the server is blank, you may have to try re-uploading the file

And now I'm getting the following error when attempting to delete a group:
Control panel message Script: /home/ahjeonggeun/illusionarylabyrinth.net/forums/admin/dogroupmanage.php Line#: 81 SQL Error: Unknown column 'uid' in 'where clause' SQL Error #: 1054 Query: select USER_ID as uid from ubbt_USER_GROUPS where GROUP_ID = 32 and USER_ID = (select distinct USER_ID from ubbt_USER_GROUPS where GROUP_ID <> 32 and USER_ID = uid)

At this point it's probably best if you open up a support ticket with admin info and FTP info to the server so I can take a closer look.

Erm...
I have a standard license, and not $50.00 to spend on an advanced support ticket right now. I'm a college student.
Is there anything else you can suggest?

Open a "Basic Support" ticket; only "Advanced Support" tickets require fees.

One of my other admins had a thought - awhile back I had a problem that I posted about as far as preference defaults go: https://www.ubbcentral.com/forums/u...ting_Preference_Defaults.html#Post228711 is the thread. is there a possibility that the SQL Command I ran then caused a problem? this is the first time we've tried to edit/delete groups since.

Also, are you sure, Gizmo? According to the asterisk on the support page, help tickets that require FTP/admin information are supposed to go on Advanced Tickets.

If advanced support is needed then it will be noted after we initially look at the issue. We always do basic troubleshooting for free.
