I just had to reload most of the files on my site after a hacker attack and today I realized that the captcha is not being displayed.
Have not idea where to start looking for the problem, but the newuser.php file could be a place.
It was working fine before.

Okay it just so happens there is another post on this subject. But anyway. What happens is if any extra files are in the captcha folders it causes a problem. This is due to what ever ftp program you use. Some times a extra folder or file is placed and it causes a problem. Check if you have something other than the default files. (Frontpage extensions,Log files,note files,etc).
Delete them.

BTW HERE is one post of a few with the problem.

I try that solution, but this is not the case on my install.
On that thread Rick posted a code to be tested and I did it and post on that same thread so eventually we will have to solution on one thread.
