Just updated from 6.6.1 and was having problems with members updating their profile, especially changing their avatar. It had been working fine. In any case, updated a couple of days ago to 7.5.3 and still having the same problem. Can anyone help.
Also wanting the IP address not to display on everyone's post, I've looked for in the control panel and here for info on how to disable and cannot find it. Any help would be appreciated!

For your second question. Assuming it is the "users" group Goto Control Panel » Group Management » +Users +Site Permissions Can See Extra User Info Set this to 0 for any group you don't wish for them to see.

Not very clear on your first question on avatar's. Files do not upload?? Or just changing Default avatars?

Thanks Ruben! On our board before the upgrade, members would link to graphics offsite for their avatar and it worked fine. Some are trying to change their avatar and can't, I think they would get 404 error code???

It would be nice to post a url to your site to test Okay well I can only guess but try a couple of items. Control Panel » Profile Settings Avatars Avatar Upload Storage Directory: This setting is only needed if members can upload avatar. (Click to test directory.) Full URL to Avatar Upload Storage Directory: This setting is only needed if members can upload avatar. Make sure to click on the test link!!
Then check: Control Panel » Site Permissions Can specify a remote avatar Add a 1 for the groups in question And select submit at the bottom of the page This is probably your issue!
