Hi all. I searched as many relevant keywords I could think of but couldn't find the answer to the following:

I see here that Rick and Gizmo and others have graphics under their names and I was wondering what the procedures are to incorporate that into ours?
I see that our Custom Title text filed has a max of 1 character so entering a url to our administrator.gif (75 x 11) or moderator.gif doesn't work.
Do we have to go to Site Permissions and add the number of characters in the url in the Administrators field (which is set to 1) in the "Can Set Custom Title"?

Thanks.

yes.. that field is really equal to the maximum number of characters allowed in the custom title

so 1 to 'enable' really isn't right... it's more like #characters or 0 to disable it wink

But back to the question.
Custom titles are not enabled for the user here.

So I assume Rick edited the member in the control panel for custom title and placed html code to reference the graphic, that works. Regardless if the permission for the group is set to 0 characters for custom titles.
As a Admin goto cp>> Member Management
At least it did in classic.
Using the br tag you could also add multiple lines.
I don't believe a visitor can add html code to a custom title even if you expand it to 1000 characters.

I have not tried this since the classic version so....

1. I went to CP/Member Management and searched for myself. I found the Custom Title textbox and added the path to the administrator.gif graphic (which worked when I tested it in my browser address bar)
2. I tested it in a post and just the path showed up and not the graphic. http://www.kickas.org/ubbthreads/images/administrator.gif

Any ideas?

Thanks again.

You can't just type the path.
It needs to be in html like:
HTML
<img src="http://www.kickas.org/ubbthreads/images/administrator.gif">
Try that.
It works on my site.

Great. Like I said I don't think it works for a visitor.
I believe only the admin can paste html in the title.

And that's a good thing, methinks.
