My web site was 10 years old last month (...and I was so busy I forgot!!!! ). You probably don't give a hoot about this fact but it means a lot to me so I'm making a post about it. Anyone who has a web site that has been running for a long time knows just how much time and effort goes in to maintaining it so I think it's worth a shout.

I started mine in summer of 1997, so I know what you mean, and congrats :-)

Mine hit 10 years ago the other day. Here is a great link, if you've not already tried it, to see how your site has changed over the years. The Way Back Machine

Isn't it amazing how sites have matured over the years? I always try and get to the Waybackmachine site every so often just for fun.

This is more how I remember it as I was a UBB fan back then. Still spooks me when I see it labelled as Scriptkeeper Forums. Just coincidence that I chose this username. I had no idea that Infopop used it.

After trying several free solutions I purchased the old Ultimate Bulletin Board software and then switched it to .threads when that was released. In fact, somewhere around my house I may even have one of the old zips of the original UBB before Threads.

Yes, I still have full versions back to UBB 5.45c with my earliest live forum being 5.47b here (Waybackmachine). BTW we don't use that URL anymore.

I think that's probably what I have, is the 5.4x series.. God only knows why I keep it around...LOL. I too, have changed my URL since the inception of my site original site. Now I have 5 sites I maintain. 4 personal and one for my Masonic Lodge.

Nine years here. But it wasn't "mine" until 2003.

My site *officially* hits 10 on Wednesday the 16th and I *think* I started using UBB around the same time.

My site: http://www.britishcarforum.com will turn 9 years old this Christmas day. I started with UBB Classic back then and switched to threads later on. I don't actually remember exactly when, but probably after the 1st year. When I first started, I was just paying my ISP for web space with no server access myself. After a couple of years, I needed to move to a VPS, which worked well for several more years. Finally, my site got big enough and I was getting tired of how slow the VPS was running that I moved to a dedicated server, which is what I still have today (leased).

Very cool, always an accomplishment to still be around after that long. Here's our site about 10 years ago waybackmachineLove the quote of "The program is a godsend. We were going to spend about $100 on UBB, but then I found your board and I'm in love with it. Keep up the good work!" In other words they decided not to buy that UBB rubbish
