Hi. What types of things could keep a user from being logged in automatically? Does it matter if the time zone is correct in preferences?

The Timezone shouldn't matter. What it usually ends up being is some type of software that sets multiple cookies and once the 20 cookie limit is reached it deletes for the forum cookie info and logs the user out.
Is this happening to some or all?

Hi Rick,
Thanks for the explanation. It is happening to only one person. She uses it quite a bit as she is one of the top posters. I am actually the top poster, by far, and it never happens to me.

she may have an over active AV or malware scanner that is deleting her cookie...

She should also make sure that her time is set properly on her computer. We had someone with a logout problem recently that was cause by the time/date being way off on the user's computer.

Yeah, I was wondering that. Her time and date is correct, but she is not set for the right time zone. For instance, I am on EST, and I have my preferences checked to minus 5 Greenich time or whatever it is.

Thanks everyone. I had her stop using CCleaner for a day, and she hasn't had any problems since. I think that was the issue.
Thanks again.

I'm surprised she didn't catch this specially if she runs ccleaner everyday. I mean that's the purpose of the software to get rid of everything temporary files, cookies, history etc. But I guess it can happen.

I agree. But, I have done sillier things. In fact, I will probably post something just as bad in a new thread.
