Are you referring to the textarea where you type your post/reply or the codebox that's used when you use the code tag? ie:

If you are talking about making your reply text bigger, then you need to click on the Reply button and then look for this button [Linked Image]

Sometimes to make the [code] box bigger you will need to enter a couple of 'return's before and after the code.

You can change thins like the width and such using the UBBCode Properties section of the Styles Editor in the Control Panel.
