Hi All. Is there is any way to 'set' birthdays to default to OFF for new registrations?
Thanks.

In the control panel you have three options for registrations. Hide Show Show& Require.
So: Control Panel ยป Registration Settings-TAB-Registration Screen Just set it to show only and that should work.

Thanks Ruben. I saw that option but the "show" threw me off. What are the differences in the 3 options, may I ask?
Thanks.

Show shows it, hide hides it, and require requires it be filled out.

I was hoping you were not going to answer that that way Turning birthdays off (which was the original query) during registration by showing it makes no intuitive sense.

Then use the 'hide' option and they'll never see it @ registration..
Although they will be able to go into their profile and add it later (as they may so desire)

Unfortunately that is the way it works.
If you select hide it will not appear in the registration screen but will appear in the mystuff>Edit Profile
If you select show it will appear as a optional registration field and still appear in the Edit Profile.
If you select require it will be a required field in the registration screen but still appear in the Edit Profile screen. At least in the stock code.
There is no way to hide it completely in both the registration and edit profile screen.
