On one of my forums www.clubadventist.com I make .05-.10 per click
One one of my other, lower traffic forums,www.theologyreview.com I make often $2.00 per click

$2.00 is much better smile

Does meta tags or keywords make the main difference??

This may help explain.

It depends basically on what the vendor is paying per keyword.

I'm not sure if they base it off of meta tags or keywords since that would probably be too easy to take advantage of. I believe it's basically from the actual content and the more common keywords of that content.

and it is really a 'black art' in the true sense (no pun laugh ) of the word...

there are forums (some quite shady) dedicated to the art of increasing revenue and some of the things they say are 'good' are really just wild ass guesses too..

i'd rely more on your empirical data and refine as time goes by if i were you..

On my site, the revenue varies widely by day. The content and traffic certainly don't. Overall, I've been happy with AdSense. I can't predict what the revenue will be, other than that December will be way better than the other months.

It seems to be important to use the maximum number of ads - three text and three display per page.

Zero difference. Google doesn't use either for anything, they're interested in the readable content on the page and it's prominence.

The key is having good content that's written for users.

The larger the text (like headlines) the more weight it is given. But it's smarter than you might think. They're pretty good at working out the context of each word and if you try to game it, it'll be discounted.

I think the estimated CPC can be seen in google keyword tool. Just type "google keyword tool" in search and you'll be there.
