I know a few people over at GT are looking for new forum software as the existing forum hasn't been developed for a few years now so I was wondering if there was a Gossamer Threads importer available or of there were any plans to create one. I know that GT have a UBB to GThreads importer.

It's not in the list on the downloads page.

We don't have one, but we could certainly write one if there was interest. We'd just need to get a database dump from someone running the forum.
