I am not sure if this qualifies as a true bug but before I upgraded I was able to make a topic, hit the back button and edit the title and have the same post show but with a different date.

For example I would make a post that would say 4/13 Service Plays and post the opener in the first post, hit post and it would post. Then I would hit back and edit the date to say 4/12 Service Plays.

In the new version I get the following error

Post already exists.

Please click back to return to the previous page

Even though I changed the topic from 4/13 to 4/12 it isn't recognizing the new title or topic like the prior version did.

So instead of being able to rapid fire topics which is a great time saver I can't do it now.

To see what I mean go here:

http://www.freaksforum.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/forums/2/1/Bet_The_House

You'll see the topics created for the next week, it took 3 minutes compared to the normal 30-45 seconds it typically takes. When you are doing this for a lot of topics it's an additional amount of unnecessary type to spend.

Thanks

This is how we ended up handling duplicate topics. When you go to create a new post, an id is created for that form, which is saved with the post, so if it's submitted again, it won't be allowed.

What you can do is copy your post, hit the back button, and refresh that page to get a new id, paste the post back in and add the updated subject.

I have found an issue like this one with a few users on the Cox Internet service on my system. Cox was so slow on my system that when they pressed the send button it would post on my system but their page was not updated always in a timely manor and the users would hit the send button again causing duplicate post's.
