What's our big plans for the weekend?

I'm on a four day weekend as soon as I get home for supper tonight. Gonna. be grilling and prepping for a week of camping next month. Also hope to be sleeping in. Those 11PM starts at work can be a little rough.

Have a great holiday. smile

Absolutely nothing but enjoying the weekend with my wife and 4 "fur kids". Might go to the local zoo, as we haven't been there for several years.

For the 22 years I was in law enforcement all a holiday meant was I was working for triple time and 1/2!!! You bet I let all the new kids on the block take them off!!

Now that I'm retired they are really just another day for me.

Well I'm heading off tomorrow for my 10th anniversary with my wife and our first stop is Hong Kong and then to Spain for a few weeks.

I will be trying hard not to let work interfere with the break but it is not easy when you own it.

Wow, that sounds like a great trip Bruce.

Nothing much planned here, the weather is horrible, and wife and one of the kids are sick, so it's pretty much a home-bound weekend for me.

I am still on my holiday trip. We started in San Fransisco on Wednesday and am currently on the border going to to Vancouver. We take the red eye on Saturday night from Seattle. We drove up the California and Oregon coast and then went in to Portland and Mount Hood and then Mount Rainier. Most of my vacations are over either memorial or labor day.

Was there a memorial festival or something on Monday? We tried to drive around the city a bit but a lot of roads were blocked off. We went to Powell's and just looked around for a couple hours to get an idea of the city. Because of our tight schedule we didn't have time to see much at any one place. The roses along the roads were very nice.

The Portland Rose Festival started last Friday, main is closed and several other streets due to various parades...

i went to a van show in NY, drank lots of rum and coke, ate lots of BBQ, smoked too many cigars, and had a great friggin time.

oh yeah, and I attached a webcam to my hat, and tethered my netbook to my phone and walked around for an hour streaming live video of the event
