When I upload the Black and Gold style from the Style download area I get this:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ',' in /home/hotsauce/public_html/forum/ubbthreads-7-5-5/styles/6.php on line 11
Do I need to unzip the file and upload a specific file from the folder? Sorry I know this has most likely been ask before but I did a search and found nothing.

Yes, you'll need to unzip the file locally and then use the import tool in the styles section to import the actual style file, and then upload the images in the zip as directed in the readme.

If you have issues with uploading files then that could be a issue with installing skins. I myself never had a problem with using the black and gold skin. Nor the default skin used here.
It just may take a little hand holding on the first try. Once you do one it is easy peasy after that.

Just bark back with questions. just be prepared to answer your question with details. Which everyone here will ask.
SD already offered the easy way out.

Not being familiar with this software is a disadvantage. SD offered to install the style and I greatly appreciate his help. I will try not to ask to many questions seems to be bothering people?

No bother. Just some think it is a simple issue to resolve. So they forget that they were a newbie at one point in time. So ask away.

My local copy and re-import it? This line? 'close' => '</td></tr></table></td></tr></table>

no.. if you look @ the style editor, you will see 2 tabs.. there is a wrapper tab, where you can edit each wrapper's open / close code.. so just edit there and save from admin control panel and voila

Hmmm... Last line of Open <table width="100%" class="t_outer"><tr><td><table class="t_inner" width="100%"> First line of close after edit </table></td></tr></table> and it still is messed up in Chrome... I even updated the style...

well, you're right -- chrome hates it for some reason.. chrome is prolly the most standards compliant, so that is prolly indicating still something wrong.. i'd need to be re-admin'd (temp) to look see

For what it's worth it does appear to be loading fine in other browsers. Chrome has the same issues with black and gold here. The current styling mechanism isn't as flexible due to the way it's setup so leads to some strange issues in both chrome and sometimes IE.

well, the wrapper should deffo be at least cleaned up.. it 'works' in other browsers, but that's just luck, imho..
even fixing the error in the wrapper, there is still:
the <img tags don't have the ending slash /> for example

Hi Where can I download the black and gold style ? I didn't find it here in this thread. I think this should be the style, you can choose for this page (black_and_gold_(hi_res).
Thanks Matthias
