confirmed on 2 sites as well..
i also disabled the tweet / FB buttons and still doesn't work

Variable got chopped out of showflat. Line 1366 of scripts/showflat.inc.php has this:
$smarty->assign("qboard",$qboard);
Right after that, add this:
$smarty->assign("parentPost",$topic_info['POST_ID']);
Patching up 7.5.6 in the download area now.
