I had a user report he got a fatal error trying to upload a new photo in a photo gallery in the Image Manager after I updated from 7.5.5 to 7.5.6

I tried both with my admin account and created a generic account to test this and get the same error on IE8 and Firefox 3.6.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function resize_image_() in /home/j30/www/www/ubbthreads/libs/image.inc.php on line 66

Existing pictures previously uploaded display fine. Any pointers to fix this?

yah, you need to select GD or Imagemagick as default resizer program.. http://path/to/your/forums/admin/gallery.php

resize_image_() -- really should be resize_image_gd() or resize_image_im(), depending upon the option in cPanel.

Note:
this REALLY, should have a default fallback to GD, imho!

ok - revisiting this. It seems that some files saved as jpg in old posts can't be downloaded by clicking on them. I can use and FTP client and go to the "attachments" directory and retrieve them just fine.

here is a link with a "broken" example:
http://j30.us/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/9649/1981_J_30_Hull_360_Hot_Chocola.html#Post9649
Note the two jpg files saved in the file manager. These were uploaded in June and worked fine until my upgrade to 7.5.6

here is a link with an uploaded jpg that works:

I just uploaded the jpg attachment for this test.

Try downloading the jpg in the 1st example and see what happens. This is driving me crazy!

Is it only happening with older jpg files?

Not just older jpg, but all old files. Look at this thread that has various file formats (xls, txt, png, jpg).

Hmm, might be easiest to open up a support ticket so we can take a look.

Rick - I just figured it out. The path in the "Attachments" section got changed to "/uploads" instead of "/attachments".

That was a dumb mistake by me who ran the install script instead of the upgrade script. I paid dearly by having to recreate all the settings manually in the control panel.

It appears to be back to normal since I fixed it. I just need to move any new uploads into the attachments directory now.

Thanks!
