Maybe this has been answered, but there aren't really any posts in here yet.
Are there any limits to emails per hour that you can send out? I don't spam anyone but we have a system in place for members/coworkers where at the end of the day it sends out a summary to everyone on the list. This ends up being around 1000 or so emails. My current host limits me to 250 per hour, which is kind of a pain in the keester as it takes several hours for everything to finally go out.

Well I don't know the limits at Mindraven. I have been on the bandwagon on this issue for a while. I do know that version 8 will have a tool to throttle the emails to match the host's imposed limits.

Ruben's got it right, there is no email throttle in v7; but it should be in v8

Well, my email problem isn't UBB.threads related. It's a project management tool so I just need to find a host that doesn't throttle, or at least has a very high throttle around 1-2k per hour.
I should clarify that I'm not sending out 1-2k every hour, it's just once per day, during the week.

We do not throttle at all as long as you're not sending out spam. If it's an opt-in, opt-out type system then you're free to send what you need.
If we get a complaint about spam then we'd contact you directly to resolve.

Actually had to ask Rick the same thing myself because of my current host limiting more than the OP. Rick informed me there is no limit We do not pose a specific limit on emails sent per hour and handle on a case by case basis. As long as the emails are being sent out for legit reasons and not spam, no way to opt out, etc. then you can send as many as needed. If we receive a spam complaint then we'd contact you as a followup to the complaint. This was what I needed to hear. I have asked a few follow up questions and will likely be moving over this month myself as well. After 7 years with my previous host I now find myself doing much more with my site and they just are not cutting it.

Yep, our first two batches of emails that went out this week went out directly, instead of over the course of several hours like on our previous host.

I have said this in other places, I can say, switching over to MindRaven hosting has solved pretty much every problem I had, from dealing with the weekly emails we do to our members, to all of our hosting problems, and am doing it a lot cheaper.
