From that page - click on the Graemlins tab then scroll to the bottom to 'Add New Graemlin'.

Then you can upload from your PC smile

And also for adding graemlins.
You don't even need to use the control panel.
You can upload them via ftp in bulk to the proper directory and they will appear.

Good point smile

...but I was thinking that after posts #2 and #5 - the admin cp may be the preferred option.

(I prefer to ftp myself smile )

Is that the message you got from the update/delete icons button?

If so, then you may need to ftp into your hosting space and manually remove the graemlin.

EDIT:
Alternatively - you could try to ftp to the graemlin and give it 777 permissions; then maybe UBB could remove it cleanly.

So I guess you didn't install the forum then?

You can do a lot of damage if you ftp when you aren't used to doing it.

Is it possible that you can get in touch with the person who installed the website/forum?

Failing that, try...

You can always uncheck the 'ACTIVE' box on the Graemlins page.

Kinda funny - after all these years - I thought I had to load them through the cp for proper indexing and whatever. Think of all the time I could have saved.

graemlins need to be added via Control Panel.

i don't think you can FTP them and they automatically appear, unless i'm looking @ libs/html.inc.php and admin/graemlins_display.php wrong

they need to be added to the DB via cPanel 1 at a time

the only way FTP would work, is if you are uploading to a new directory, but using the same filenames as are already in the DB, from adding them via the cpanel.

you have to do that when for example you add a new graemlin to default, but need to dup it in default_dark directory, which kinda sucks wink

moods, post images, news images etc, are different and are just whatever is in the directory, with no DB correlation. there is no ubbt_MOODS table, while there _is_ a ubbt_GRAEMLINS one for example wink
