Have you gotten to the 'New Image' button in the gallery forum yet?

If you have, you should see Image Manager (Total Files: 0)

Click on the link to upload from your local PC

enter the size in bytes. Not mb or gb
Right now your size limit is 6 bytes.
Then also clear cache before you test again.

Also when you make an attachment there should be in the header some info on your limits.
Here it is
File Manager: You can attach 3 photos. Max. file size is 1 MB.

No, 6 bytes is a very very very small file.
Say you want to allow a 1mb file size.
1mb=1048576 bytes
So enter 1048576 in the field for file size.
When you stated 6 I assume you meant 6mb
For 6mb you would enter 6291456

But bear in mind that your host may limit that size, so whichever is less will only be allowed.

It also would be helpful to myself as well as others to post the url to your board.
Sometimes a quick peek will show what the problem is without even getting control panel access.

Okay there are a couple of things to check.
First.
How do you access the forum permissions.
The reason I ask is you might be just editing the default permissions template not the actual forum permissions.

Second.
when you enter the file size there is a note . It displays what the file size limit is by your host.
What does it say?
It will be something like:
If this forum is a gallery forum, this setting dictates how large each image may be. Max size set in php.ini is 8M, so you may not exceed this size.

Third is goto:
Control Panel ยป Permission Checks
look for anything that fails in the gallery folders.
You can click on on line.
Maybe you have a file permission issue.

i fixed it for you.. you needed to do the 'forum permission' for that specific forum

now image manager has 6 pics per post @ 4Mb each

you can of course change that if you want smile

smile

Good luck

In forum permissions - make sure you observe this box....

Currently editing permissions for:

Click the 'down' arrow to select the gallery forum....
...and then click on 'switch'

Now you can enter the value and hopefully, you will see a difference smile

Okay I got access.
I can only assume that the way you accessed the forum permissions for your gallery is via.
cp>forum permissions.
When you do, the default is editing the default template.
when you select the forum you want to change, you need to use the switch button to the right. Otherwise you are editing the default template.
Thats what it looks like because I only found your settings in the default template.

I kinda fixed the gallery forum. But You need to go through them for all.

Well it was broke again.
He must have deleted the forum and started over.
I noticed the settings changed while i was there so maybe we were both in there at the same time because I set it from 0 to 1mb. When I went back it was a different value.

it shows the last x number of pics uploaded to whichever gallery forums you selected.

you currently have that set to 1, so it is just the latest picture uploaded.

if you want a random picture to show up, then there is a custom island that can easily be added to randomly grab a picture from all of the uploaded pictures

There is?? Cool. I don't think that I ever saw that before. Can you tell us where we might find that jewel?

An example is the island here on the bottom right.
Look for Ricks post in the following topic.
