Some of my users complain that they cannot use the temporary password that is emailed to them. After testing the issue myself, and discussing the problem with them, I discovered that they were cutting and pasting the password from the email. Apparently, on both my email client (Outlook) and theirs, it catches a space either to the left or right of the password, and so the password is not pasted properly into UBB.
I suggest changing the applicable language file (mailer.php) as follows to eliminate the issue...at least from Outlook.
$ubbt_lang['PREQ_CONTENT2'] = "Your original password will still work fine.<br /><br />The temporary password for this username is:<br /><br />%%PASSWORD%%<br />";
The above line eliminates the explicit empty space before the password, and adds a line break after the password, as most browsers interpret a CR (before the </td>) as a space.
I did not do extensive testing, but it seemed to fix the issue for me, anyway.
