I am working on a new style for my Version 7.5.4.2 forums to match my newly redesigned website. I was making changes to the Forum Summary Properties in the forum control panel and saved them. The changes show in the preview panel but not the forum.

This is the only style installed. I refreshed my cache but the changes simply will not show! Is there any reason this could happen? If I import a new or previous style they show. I am baffled!

Thinking about easiest to hardest FordDoctor, have you checked the php permissions. Maybe that style sheet is not writable by the server. If it is a new style sheet that may actually happen. Others would work because they were on that server before, but new ones may not be getting the permissions they need. Just my first thought as I read this post this morning...
That would also go with any graphics folders etc. that may be related to the style as well.

Just a starting point if you haven't checked that already.

For the love of God! I figured it out. Dammit!!! The problem was just with the one style file. What caused it you ask? Well, let's just say that color attributes need to have the pound sign (#) in front of the hexadecimal color code. Somehow I lost them in the forum display settings.

What screwed me is that even with the missing # changes still showed up in the preview panel but not on the live forum. My only hope here is that someone else can learn from my post (and mistake) as this was apparently really easy to mess up.

Sometimes you just need to shut down your PC and walk away for a while.
