I recently started getting this error.

Cuervo, from past experiences, I would highly recommend that you move here to MINDRAVEN for you hosting needs, even with the shared hosting pretty much all of my hosting problems were solved..

the support is excellent and I have save a lot of $$$$ because of this. Am very serious about my appreciation of what they do.

Your MySQL server (the database server on the server) died, it's not there... It's common on oversold shared webhosting.
