I have a forum no longer in use and for some reason one of the moderators attempted to delete it. It now does not appear in the forum settings page but does display on the forum listing.

How do I get rid of it?

If in fact the forum is deleted, Then it may be a browser or server cache issue.
You might want to try the content rebuilder.
