I am looking to change the color of the forum topics from the standard blue to the background skin color of my site. I was able to adjust the fount size but not the color.

Also would like to change the color and size of the individual
thread titles to the same color as the background skin. I have tried to adjust the font size for this section but was unable to do so.

Thanks

Since these are links, you'll need to adjust the "Special Properties" for the specific section and put in the color for the visited/unvisted/etc.

I can only assume you are talking about the hyper links?
So when you expand a property in the style editor there will be a Special Link Properties that will appear when you expand that you will have the options to change the colors for:
Unvisited Link
Visited Link
Active Link
Hover Link

By the way you will need to do it for each property you want to change.

OK I got the font size correct just wont let me change the color.
The only codes I get are #666666 or #333333 and #000000,
I tried looking for the main site background color code because that is the color I would like my titles to be but cant find it. Even tried to change it using the color code listed above but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

That looks like the primary settings for the class. Under that box you should see a "Special Properties" link. If you click that it should expand so you can set the colors for the links.

That's where you'll need to put in the color for your links. You'd use something like:

color: #FF0000;

or

color: red;

Where do find all the color code options?
Something that tells me what color #FF000; is?

In your image above, Portal, News, etc. are all standard links. To set the required color do as Ruben suggests and edit Special Link Properties.

You'll find this by going to Styles and click Edit on the style you want to change. On the next page click General CSS Properties and click 'body'. Under the text area that appears there's another link - Special Link Properties.

This is where you put your color requirements for Unvisited Link, Visited Link, Active Link and Hover Link.

Colour code isn't usually case sensitive, I would be surprised if threads was.

The colour codes aren't case-sensitive. Maybe you are like me (a novice!) and a clearer step by step, would help?

Because I am new to playing with colour schemes, I don't touch anything else about the code, other than the colour numbers themselves, (or in the case of adding to blank areas, I'm careful to ask, or to use the same standard I find in other boxes).

CP > Display Options > Styles > Create a new style > use the Copy Settings from your site skin button (rather than messing with the original) > click General CSS Properties > click body > below that box click Special Link Properties > then in all four blank boxes type this exactly...

color: #655a46;

(note the colon, space, pound sign, six-character number, and semi-colon!)

> then click Update Preview Area and see if the words Link Directly on Background changed to what you wanted!

I think that should work. If I'm steering you wrong, hopefully one of the wise gurus here will say - ack, don't do what she said!

Good luck figuring it out.
