I have user registrations suspended on my forums, but somehow posts are showing up with a user_id of 1, which belongs to **DONOTDELETE**. They're coming from multiple ip addresses, so blocking those would be futile. Can I delete the user **DONOTDELETE** or change the password? I've already banned that user, but to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated.

Do not. I repeat do not delete user 1.
And I would not ban member 1 either.
As a matter of fact. I am not sure how you can ban member 1!


It appears that you do not want guests to post.

And you have a hole in your permission settings for that forum or multiple forums.

Suggestion is to check the forum permissions for the group "guest"
Depending on what you want. you need to set them to 0. Can view forum,Can reply, post new topics, bla bla

If you would be so kind as to post the URL to the forum.
Some of us could visit the site and see where some forums allow guests to post.

Thank you. I was looking wayyy past the simple solution. There are two forums that we let guests view... unfortunately, until your answer, they were also allowed to post. NO MORE. And I'm relieved that it's not an injection attack.

Member 1 is also used for say you delete a member but want to keep the posts.
Hence "do not delete".
