UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums UBB.threads 7 Version 7 Support Troll attack?

I am noticing that we've had a few people sign in under the same IP address.

At at closer look i now see that we've had 68 new members sign on with the same IP address. (PM me for the address) This started back in March 04.

Anyone ever see this? Granted our forum has a psychotic enemy out there and we've had lots of shenanigans.

It's a german IP address. "No proxy detected" -- which, to my knowledge, doesn't necessarily mean anything.

I can put a temporary ban on these people relatively quickly. I might do that. Not sure yet. I don't think any of them have posted yet.

EDIT: We have been hacked in to at least twice in the past. Twice we've discovered unidentified administrators. Also we get a disproportionate amount of trolls for a forum our size -- have had for some time.

Suggestions welcome.

Ran a search of members with said IP address. There were 75 of them. Considering all of the nonsense that we've had in the past i banned them.

I'm not quite sure what to do. I can always unban them.

You might look at my Stop Forum Spam mod at UBBDev; it can be quite useful for matching against known spammer ip addy's and refusing to allow them to register..

This German IP address was blacklisted 3 times per "Where's my IP." But my own IP address from my house was blacklisted 5 times.
