Stan I am not using it, but this is what we use. It integrates with our users. http://www.addonchat.com/ they have a free version and a paid version, we used to pay for it but for now are using the free version. I could send you code we use to have it show up who is chatting on the right side of our board. Ian

I'm running flashchat, but there are a few glitches. They don't support ubb threads past 7.2, so that's probably why. I'm open to trying something else.

besides the income, google provides interesting links related for the forum members. I have suspected that google comes to visit the forums more often.

I had Google ads on one of my sites. Was doing about 1,000 clicks a month on the ads and showing a few million of them a month. Had it on there 6 months and never got a dime from it.

that is interesting.... 1,000 clicks a month should net you at least $200- $1,000 per month...

Not according to them, no matter I sold that site almost 2 years ago now. Cost to much to maintain for no income.

I'm not sure if this belongs here or over on Dev, but now I'm trying to install he newest Flashchat. Unsuccessfully. I'm using the 7.4 installation (I have 7.5.6), and I'm getting this error message on step 2: Configuration Error!
FlashChat was unable to detect your MySQL login setting from the UBB.Threads 7.4 configuration file. You must correct this before FlashChat can finish its installation. Please refer to the integration Instructions in the TUFaT.com Wiki to ensure that the FlashChat files were correctly uploaded to your server.
Possible Reasons for this error may include:
1) FlashChat was uploaded to an incorrect server location.
2) The CMS system that you are using is unsupported by FlashChat.
3) Your server has incompatible settings which may have been undetected in Step 1 of the FlashChat installer. For example, specific security restrictions which are not typical of most PHP/MySQL setups. Is there something I need to change so that it thinks the installation is under 7.4? How are the rest of you getting through this? Or, is it a server thing? Rick?

I think some config vars may be different from 7.4 and what we have out now; I know there was some big changes after 7.3
