In My Profile I do not have a button to "Upload Your Avatar' What did I miss. I can select a url and see the avatar but it just doesn't give me option to upload.

When you select the submit button it will upload the file.

You will need to go to group management->group_name->[site] and set Can upload an avatar to 1

Unfortunately, No!
Documentation for added features has been lacking for quite some time.
At one time a wiki was mentioned by Gizmo.

That would be extremely helpful,especially if it will be setup to allow multiple contributors.
