Are modifications installed using a plugin system or do files have to be edited? Is there any thing as a trial version still? The style system use a template system?

Also, the modules to the portal, can I alter them or remove them then add my own modules?

Currently there is no plugin system.
I belive "trials" are simply a dummy install on a UBBCentral server.
Mods will have to be done manually and are against the support policy (though most support is done on this user to user forum or at UBBDev).
The style system uses a template system (smarty) and a css editor.
You can create custom portal modules or choose from the basic ones that ship.

Thanks for answering my questions. I did the dummy install, quite interesting seems like the old UBB but still great.
Figured mods would be user to user support, just about every forum software site has that stipulated. LOL
