I have been looking at the Prochat Software i am not sure if they do a intergrated version but i was thinking of creating a sub domain for it will it work as a sub domain.
We use http://www.addonchat.com/ right now we are using the free version, but the paid version gives you a little more control over the features. It logs the users in with their board ID's. We have it wrapped in the message board and as a island on the right to show who is in the chat room. If you need help combining it let me know and I can try to help.
I use Gizmo's mod (since I have a private IRC server) and does similar using board IDs. I think the live chat feature is important, especially since I can answer questions there about the forums as well as tech support for the game we run.
