hi Guys, I do not have the option to remove say the last 10 posts from a member who has had too much wine that evening with a keyboard on there lap wanting to put the world to rights.
So my question is thus.
Can i just delete Posts from Ubbt_POSTS in the database ? If i run a SQL to list there posts i can clean up in no time, and not having to remove the whole topic.
I don't want to close a topic / i want to keep the flow. As i deal with the member in question in a private forum.
Thank you

Hey happy birfday!
It thought this could be done with prune or move in the control panel. But no. So I guess the logical process would be to look at user posts via the profile method and edit them one at a time. I would be leery of just editing the database since it impacts several tables when a user posts a topic or reply.

Yeh that's the frustration, its clunky to delete say 10 posts and time consuming. Where its could be at the expense of a really interesting topic/thread.
I'm only now just realising the power of the SQL Querys to get the answers from my Boards.
List of all there IP's Reading there last 20 posts via the database is also alot easier than having to open each thread / topic.
Would be handy to know for sure if there are any as you say impacts any other tables.

Use ubb to delete them, don't do delete queries. 10 is not a lot to do manually.

cheers i got the answer "Dont do it that way."
I used 10 but in reality it can be more and its always more than one user, i will just have to weigh it up.
Wouldn't it be great to have in-line delete posts when viewing users posts.
Thanks for the reply Yarp
