The forum I have been asked to administer (having minimal UBB.threads knowledge but being perceived as a Techie-Geek) sends out a "welcome email" to new members. I need to edit the text but have been unable to find where it is stored or for that matter how to enable and disable it.

Perhaps my search skills are not what I thought they were. frown

I have to look but if I remember correctly it is in the mail.tpl file in the templates folder. Ok I am looking for it... this is wrong... I just have to remember...been a while since I messed with this one.

Admin CP >> Display Options >> Languages || Language Editor

Either...

choose - Choose Specific Language File: adduser.php and select WEL_MSG

or search string 'Welcome' = and once again edit adduser.php

No it is not but the message would be in the language files.
