New members are not receiving the welcome message. They do get the "Thank you for registering" one so I don't think it is an email problem. Is there a place to enable or disable the welcome message?
Thanks, John

Maybe we are talking two different items.
By default the welcome message should work but it is not emailed to them unless they elect to receive email notification via email.
But that is the catch22 where the welcome message is the very first private message sent to them before they can set the preference.

Maybe a url to your board might help to test with.

In that case is there a way to add a welcome message to the email verification?
The board is here: http://www.womenshealthmatters.ca/ubbthreads7/ubbthreads.php

Perhaps you could edit the language string....?

From memory, I think it's in mailer.php

Or you could just search for it in the language editor smile

Using version :: 7.6.2

Does anyone know for sure where the welcome text is located. Are there any limits to it's length?
