Hi everyone,

On our board, we have a Most Recent Posts on the left hand side. We have 11 forums. Almost all of these forums are compatible with the Most Recent Posts, i.e., if you post in one, the post will show up in the MRPs. Two will not.

Supposedly, the ones that do work that way have a designation which is a triangle made of three circles. But, this does not seem to have any correlation.

So my question is, where in the CP is the setting for turning that feature on or off for a forum?

Thank you.

Bert

In your admin CP, go to 'Post Islands' (under Portal).

Then select your 'Recent Posts' post island and click on edit.

Here, you will be able to select the source forums than make up the island. smile

Hi driv,

Thanks for the quick response. Ironically, that was the only section I didn't look at. Didn't see where islands would fit it. smile

Another question:

From our Control Panel:

Source Forums
You may choose multiple forums as your source.

"Use caution when selecting your source forums. This ignores user groups, so posts from private forums will be listed if chosen as one of your source forums."

Ironically, this is a forum on user group. I don't think it IS a user group per se, it is a forum which talks about setting up User Groups? Does this affect it. It is certainly getting very few posts since no one knows about it.

Thanks again.

Basically, as long as you want the posts added to your recent posts list - just select it.

Conversely, if you want it kept non-public - don't select it smile
